Standard Operating Procedure

Settings Access
On the main screen or in the apps section, click on the Gear Icon (Settings).

Target the App
Navigate to Apps > See all apps and click on the specific app causing issues.

Force Stop
Select Force Stop and click OK. This kills all background processes for that app.

Clear Cache
Go into Storage & Cache, select Clear Cache and click OK. Note: A small amount of KB may still remain after clearing.
Pro Tip: System-Wide Refresh
If the whole box is slow, clear the system-wide cache in one go:

Select 'Cached Data' and click OK
