Check Internet Speed
The number one reason users experience IPTV
Buffering is because of slow or intermittent
internet speeds.
While you won’t need massive speed to stream
content, you typically require at least 25 Mbps for
streaming.
You can check for speed and ping using free apps
available through The Play Store or the Amazon
store. We recommend using the Anility, or Okla’s
Speedtest app
*The PING is equally important as your speed!

Android:
•
Push the Home button on your remote•
•
Click Settings
•
Click Apps•Click on the app that you want to clear
the cache
•
Go down to Clear Cache, click it, click ok & confirm
•
DO NOT CLEAR DATA OR APP SETTINGS WILL BE
ERASED
•
Go back up to Force Stop, click it & confirm
•
Use your back button to close the settings.
Firesticks:
•

Click Manage Installed Applications
•
Click on the app that you want to clear the cache

Restart your modem
Unplug your modem for 30 seconds then restart

Change the Video Player
In the “App” settings you can change the “Default”
player and choose an external player thats
installed in your device (VLC or other player)
We recommend VLC however you can choose the
player you prefer. Each player has it’s own internal
settings you can also adjust to help correct
buffering, missing sound, subtitles etc.
Don’t have any installed? You can download a
player from the Playstore or side load one.

Re-Boot Your Modem/Router
Honestly, it’s safe to say that the most important
reason you should reboot your router is to
improve internet speed. That shouldn’t even be a
surprise because its primary job is to provide an
internet connection to all the devices in your
private network. When the RAM stores too much
information, it slows down the internet speed.
•
Unplug the unit from the wall (not the back of
the unit) for at least 1 minute.
•
Plug it back in and give it a few moments to
reset fully.

Using WIFI? Set up Ethernet Connection
If you find that your internet connection is not as
strong as needed on your streaming device, you
may want to consider an ethernet connection.
Android TV Boxes come with built-in ethernet
ports which will improve the connection to your
network.
Firestick users do not have this option which can
cause a weaker internet connection.
An Ethernet adapter will allow you to use an
Ethernet connection on these devices.

Update Your Device / Apps

Check if an update is available for your device.
•
Uninstall & Reinstall Apps That are not
working or out of date.
•
Try a New, or Different App. Yes, some apps
are much better than others.
•
Check your cables are firmly inserted to your
devices.
•
Check and replace damaged, or old cables:
ethernet, hdmi & power.
